Boston Strong Day 3

Our last day in Boston was spent separately, to a degree. The neighboring convention center was hosting Anime Boston, a comic/ video game convention. Brother was interested in going, so he spent the afternoon there while my parents and I roamed around.

For lunch we found Haru, a Japanese restaurant in the Prudential Center. We had a mix of sushi and salad. We wanted to see if the Boston seafood translated well into Asian food. It wasn't half bad. The salad was delicious, loved the dressing.

Boston unCommon roll, Pheonix roll, Karai salad and mushroom and cucumber roll

For our post-lunch dessert we ate at Max Brenner's. I had heard of Max Brenner from Food Network before, but completely forgot about it until we walked right in front of it.

Our chocolate concoctions and a cute little hug mug

We managed to find the unofficial Boston Marathon memorial at a farmer's market near Trinity Church. When we heard of the Boston Marathon bombings, it was just a few weeks before our New England trip. It was devastating and terrifying to watch all of the footage on the news. I couldn't imagine what it was like to be there.

The ground was covered in baseball caps, flowers, American flags and running shoes. It was very touching and I'm glad we went there.

Next to the memorial, there was Trinity Church and a small farmer's market. Very cute and quaint and we even got a mini pie to go.

PLAY BALL! Red Sox vs Indians part two. Brother rejoined us for our last baseball game of the trip and we all walked our way through the downpour to Fenway.

When we arrived the field was still covered by the tarp, the players were still in the lockers and most, if not all, of the seats were empty. We were worried the may call the game due to the weather. Since it was our last night in town, we prayed it wouldn't happen and took shelter at the concession stand.

Legal chowdah and popcorn, what a combo

Rain, rain, go away

Warming up on some Dunkin

Staying dry with my Red Sox poncho and staying warm with more chowder

It's Wally!

Thankfully the game wasn't cancelled and the Red Sox won! They pulled through after a not so great showing the day before. It was a fantastic ending to a great time in New York and Boston. Besides, I think I ate more than my fill at both cities. We had a wicked good time and can't wait til the next adventure. Until next time New England.
