April Randoms

I can't believe it's almost May. Time flies when your computer goes bonkers and you get new tech toys to play with. Oh and vacation and all that stuff. Hawaii and California posts are still being composed, so randoms will have to suffice for now.

Bryan and I are back on the wedding planning train and there are so many things that still need to get done. What were we thinking planning a wedding in another city? The lists keep piling up and all I want to do is go on vacation again. Spoiled vacation addict.

Here we go, April in a few snapshots.

Our new toys

Playing with lil Mac on the new iPad

Climbing over clouds

Beach day

San Francisco brunch view

San Francisco bachelorette weekend

First meal after lent. Steak, sautéed onions, fennel, cheery tomatoes and spinach salad

Indian splurge

Spring flowers in Urbana

Fiona's first birthday

Crazy storms at the airport

Reflections

I like to think that I didn't take a lot of pictures this month because I was being "in the moment", but in reality it's probably due to laziness. May is right around the corner and it's going to be a busy month. Work, wedding and other things are bound to keep me from excessive blogging. That and my iPad.

How I Met Your Mother Finale

Alright, we're up and running again. Lots to catch up on. No more dilly dallying on Disco Bees, time to share the April exploits. Sorry for the delay (you'd be shocked as to how often I say that), but we're back on our feet.

On Monday, March 31st, 2014 one of my favorite TV sitcoms aired it's final episode. How I Met Your Mother's nine season run kept me company since I was in college. With it's flashback narratives, catchphrases and inside jokes, I was instantly hooked. It's sad to say that one of my favorite television shows has gone the way of Friends and Seinfeld, but all good things must come to an end. The series finale was an emotional roller coaster, to say the least, but this season finale was topped with a special treat.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the finale live since I was at work. But thanks to our DVR, Bryan and I could enjoy it together. Little did I know, Bryan was planning a HIMYM themed finale dinner. Good man.

"Thank you Linus" mock tail

Pancakes and maple syrup, eh

"MacLaren's" hot wings

Dude, that's a big sandwich

Big fudge with a side of legen-wait for it- dairy ice cream

What am I supposed to do on my Monday night now that this show is gone? My life has a little HIMYM hole in it. At least Game of Thrones started again. Hee hee.

Absence Makes the Heart Grow Fonder

Hey everyone. It's been forever since I've been here. I'm back from Spring vacation and it's so nice to be able to sleep in my own bed and cuddle with my puppy. It was so wonderful to spend time with family and friends.

Unfortunately, haven't been able to blog because my computer is on the fritz. But as soon as it's up and running I'll be able to share my adventures from April.

Happy Spring everyone!

March Randoms

I'm 27 years old. It's crazy to think that I'm that old. But I wouldn't trade my life for anything else. I'm incredibly lucky and 27 is going to be a great year.

Rum, pineapple juice and grenadine never looked so good

St Patty's shopping

Our first time makings ribs

Skyy ginger, lemon and thyme martini

Stalking the local chickens on our walk

Seared tilapia on sauteed kale, red onion, radishes and tomato

My tea fix

Date night at Aroma Cafe

Drinks at Boltini

Sweet potato fries, fresh veggies and yogurt dipping sauce

"Mexican" hot chocolate: Milk, cocoa, sugar, cinnamon, vanilla and cayenne

Bringing a little bit of Japan to New Orleans

Reading on the plane, instead of sleeping

Birthday dinner at Sushi Kame

Looks like all I did in March was drink. Maybe I need to reassess my lifestyle?
