Spring Folliage/ Illini Arboretum/ Japan House

A great place in our college town is the University of Illinois Arboretum. It's very seasonal and the grounds crew put a lot of work into creating beautiful floral landscapes. My favorite time of year is Fall, but you know what they say... April showers bring May flowers.

Right down the path of the Arborneium, is the Japan House. A tea house with weekly ceremonies and classes, the Japan House is another little gem in the U of I community. It has it's own little year round gardens and a stunning cherry blossom (or sakura) walkway this time of year.

We return home from our afternoon stroll to find giant paw prints in our backyard, courtesy of Puppydog. That's one thing about Spring that I forgot to mention, the mud.
